Traditionally bouldering aims to take the hardest physical movements possible from the sport of rock climbing and combine them into a single challenge that pushes the mind and body to their limits. Bouldering is conducted without ropes at heights of up to 10m and every fall is a ground fall. Terrifying? Hardly. Falls are protected by soft mats on which the boulderer lands. In addition, people called ‘spotters’ stand on the ground behind the boulderer to guide their fall onto the soft mat. With both powerful and technical aspects, bouldering is bound to improve your strength, determination and ability to solve problems all within a fun a relatively safe environment.
